About the workshop:
Calling all plant nerds! This science and nature comics workshop will delve into concepts of queerness in nature, including a botanical illustration demonstration and drawing prompts that explore theory and visuals of queer ecology. This class will hit home with folks who have an interest in wild foraging, gardening, and learning about the vast diversity of plants. One big question that each participating artist will explore is how to depict the complicated relationship of the human and self within the natural world, a fruitful quandary for comics.
