Geetha Iyer writes place-based fiction, nonfiction, and the occasional poem or comic. Her work is featured in Orion, Gulf Coast, Ecotone, Story, Split Lip, The Forge, and National Geographic. She is an Assistant Professor of English at Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, and the Associate Editor of Creative Nonfiction at ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment. She was born in India, raised in the United Arab Emirates, and calls Panama a waystation home.
