Hatiye Garip is a disabled illustrator, comic artist, and designer from Istanbul based in Cologne. She likes to draw birds, flowers, and ordinary moments. She is interested in accessible illustration, comics, graphic medicine and experiments with onomatopoeia and field recordings. More recently, she has been running the Accessible Lines project, which brings together illustrators from the UK and Turkey to make their illustrations accessible. As a DAAD doctoral fellow., she is carrying out her research on accessible comics.
