Rachel Deutsch is a writer and illustrator/cartoonist. Her first graphic memoir,THE MOTHER, is published by Douglas and McIntyre. Her writing, cartoons and illustrated pieces have appeared in The New Yorker, McSweeneys, Prism International, Room Magazine, and many more. She is a contributor to the Cartoonists for Palestine book. She has also worked for over fifteen years in the field of social work and lives in Montreal with her two young children.
