Liyao Liao is a Chinese-Singaporean illustrator, designer, multimedia artist and writer. She writes autobiographical diary comics as a way to process her experiences. Self-described as a pessimistic optimist, her art is expressive, loud-spoken, and at times eccentric, often reflecting her conflicted state of existence symptomatic of our problematic world today. She hopes that by being openly vulnerable, she can encourage others to be themselves and to feel comfortable in their own skin.
