Monica Chiu, Professor of English at the University of New Hampshire, teaches courses in Asian American studies, American studies, comics & graphic narrative, and race and ethnic studies. Her edited collection, Drawing New Color Lines: Transnational Asian American Graphic Narratives(Hong Kong University Press, 2015), was the first to address this transnational medium.  Her latest monograph is Show Me Where It Hurts: Manifesting Illness and Impairment in Graphic Pathography (Penn State UP, 2023). Her essays appear in journals such as Mosaic, MELUS, Journal of American Studies, LIT, among others. She was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Hong Kong (2011-12) and a Fulbright Specialist at Minnan Normal University, Fujian, China (Nov. – Dec. 2019).
