Experienced comic artists and beginners are all welcome to learn the fundamentals of digital coloring! In this class, it’s ROYGBIV all the way with some tips to get you started making bolder and exciting color choices!
In this 2 hour workshop, colorist Xenia “Xenon” Honchar will go over both color theory and tricks of the trade for handling color in comics. Everything from limited pallets, printing preferences, flatting, shading, lighting, portfolio tips and all the cool fun stuff that makes the page pop!
Participants are encouraged to bring uncolored comic pages they have drawn or find work of an artist they would like to study to work on during the last hour of class to apply what they have learned.
