About the workshop:
Are you a lover of steamy little pictures but are maybe afraid to make eye contact? Or a naughty notebook scribbler who doesn’t want to show anyone what they’re working on? Or perhaps you’re just a little bit curious? This sex-positive, neurodivergent-friendly comics workshop centering queer and trans erotic art is stuffed with flirty prompts to get your creative juices flowing. It’s calling your name.
No one in this workshop will be forced to share their work, so you’re welcome to come draw and participate in whatever way feels safe, fun, and comfy to you. We want this to be a playful, tender, reflective space.
Date:
This is a 2-hour online workshop on Thursday October 24th at 5pm-7pm PST (8pm-10pm EST). The workshop is capped at 25 participants. Everyone who signs up will receive a Zoom link via email and then a recording of the workshop afterwards.
What you need:
• Drawing supplies. You can draw on paper or digitally, whatever you prefer. You’re welcome to use whatever materials you have on hand, whether it’s colored pencils, watercolors, or ink pens.
About the teacher:
Joaquin Golez is an illustration artist, tattooist in training, and a mixed-race unsortable gender goblin with a gentle heart and a neurospicy brain. He draws evocative and often visually complex images motivated by queerness, eroticism, fantasy, gender mutations, graphic narrative and decorative delights. He teaches illustration at Portland State University.
Age restriction
The comics in this workshop contain nudity and sexuality. Lots of butts. This class is for people ages 18+.
